City saved by the Italian Sub and The English Goalie

It definitely lived up to the hype of being the clash of champions with some excellent saves from both keepers as well as some brilliant counter attacking football from the German Champions. Manchester City equalized with an 89th-minute Penalty from Mario Balotelli to deny the excellent Borussia Dortmund side full three points.

It has to be said that Joe Hart is definitely a goal keeper of great class after making lots of excellent saves to deny the German side a well deserved win.

The visitors finally went ahead in the 61st minute with a well stroke shot from Marco Reus after an array of chances either saved by Hart or the wood work. Joe Hart definitely kept the hosts in the game with such sublime goal keeping.

Substitute Mario Balotelli scored from the penalty spot after being on the pitch for just eight minutes. He exquisitely slotted the ball into the post with such excellent precision following a harsh hand ball given against Neven Subotic who handled an Aguero volley.

Well, it’s a good result for Manchester City considering how many chances the German side had to go ahead.

In a group that is made up of champions of Spain, England, Germany and Holland any result would definitely be appreciated. It still remains to be seen if Manchester City has what it takes to make it out of the group into the second round. However, the German champions really look like a team that is definitely ready to take on real Champions League football.

The second place position is still open and qualifications could still go either way. Who will make it to the second round in the group of champions???

Till next time y’all stay TRUE 2 SOCCER…
